Personal Branding Photographer in Victoria, BC

Natural, story-driven images of you and your work, so people feel like they know you before they ever reach out.

branding photography, Personal Branding

People connect with people. When someone visits your website or scrolls past your social media, they’re quietly asking: who is behind this, and do I trust them? Generic stock photos can’t answer that question. Real images of you, doing what you love, can.

I’m Alyssa, a lifestyle photographer based in North Saanich on the Saanich Peninsula. I believe every person has a story to tell, and a personal branding session is simply your business story told in pictures. My approach is the same as with families: real connection, relaxed direction and photos that feel genuine rather than staged.

Whether you’re a coach, a maker, a wellness practitioner, a realtor or running a small shop, branding images help your audience see the heart behind your work.

What a Branding Session Includes

A branding session goes beyond a single headshot. We’ll create a varied collection of images you can use across your website, social media, newsletters and printed materials for months to come.

Before your session, we’ll talk through your business, your audience and how you want people to feel when they see your images. That conversation shapes everything, from the location and outfits to the moments we plan to capture.

  • Portraits of you, from polished to relaxed and approachable.
  • Working shots: you at your desk, in your studio, with your tools or with clients.
  • Detail images of your products, your workspace and the small things that make your business yours.
  • Lifestyle images that show your personality and the values behind your brand.

Planning Your Branding Shoot

The best branding images start with a clear purpose. Think about the pages on your website that need fresh images, the kinds of posts you share often and any upcoming launches. A simple shot list helps us make the most of our time together.

Choose outfits that match how you show up for clients, and bring a couple of options so your images feel varied. Colours that tie into your brand palette are a lovely touch. If your products or tools are part of your story, bring them along, and tell me about anything with special meaning.

On the day, I’ll guide you through each part of the shot list while leaving room for real moments. If you’re nervous, that’s okay. Most of my clients aren’t models, and I’ll help you feel comfortable from the first frame.

  • Gather a few examples of images you love so I can understand your style.
  • List the places you’ll use your photos, such as your home page, about page or social media.
  • Prepare any products, props or signage you’d like included.
  • Leave a little time for candid moments. They’re often the images clients connect with most.

Your Finished Images

Every image is individually retouched with true skin tones and delivered in a private online gallery. You’ll receive full-resolution digitals with printing rights for your chosen images, giving you the freedom to use them across your business. Questions families ask

What’s the difference between a headshot and a branding session?

A headshot session focuses on a few clean portraits for your profiles. A branding session creates a wider collection that shows you at work, your products and your personality.

Where do branding sessions take place?

Wherever tells your story best, such as your workspace, your studio or an outdoor spot that fits your brand. We’ll decide together during planning.

Can you photograph my products too?

Yes. Product and detail images are a natural part of many branding sessions, and you can see examples in my business portfolio.

How do I get started?

Send me a message with a little about your business and how you plan to use your images, and we’ll start planning from there.

How often should I update my branding photos?

Whenever your business, your look or your offerings change enough that your current images no longer feel true. A fresh set is especially helpful before a new website or a launch.
